- Revival of nearly dormant Training & Placement Cell ensuring its fruitful functioning providing placement opportunities to deserving students. (DONE)
- Organizing a National level management Fest, inviting a chunk of national repute institutes to compete with our students, thus providing a platform for the students to display their inherent talent. (DONE)
- Organizing National Conference/Seminar on various realms of Management education helping our institute to attain international repute in management world. (DONE)
- Organizing Alumni Meet/Dinner to strengthen our Alumni network ultimately helping the placement activities gain momentum as most of our Alumni of HPUBS Shimla hold various top management positions on various MNCs. (DONE)
- Organizing Monthly Industrial visits for the students helping them gain a real-time experience of the corporate world. (DONE)
- Organizing a Job Fair inviting various companies in national and international repute to help our students get placed and HPUBS attain a good market position in education world. (In Process)
- Establishment of Entrepreneurship Cell & an Innovation Incubation Center at our Department to help students create, propagate & execute their self-employment business ideas in a systematic manner with expert advice. (DONE)
- Publishing a monthly Management magazine/Newsletter on behalf of HPUBS Shimla. This would wholly be a student initiative, an idea to generate funds and publicize our activities to the entire world. (DONE)
- Establishment of various activity clubs for each specialization offered at HPUBS like Finance Club, Marketing Club, HR Club, Operations Club, Debates Club & Social Networks Club which would independently conduct events on weekly, monthly or bi-monthly basis. (DONE)
- Weekly updation of Departmental website with not just latest news, but other useful content like syllabus, notes, presentations, e-books, e-journals etc. (DONE)
- Ensuring that like this year, next year too, the 2013-15 Batch is able to organize and initiate an Industrial Tour of South India in January 2014 vacations. (DONE)
- Organizing Guest Lectures by distinguished luminaries like professors, industrialists, management gurus, our Alumni etc to help students gain an insight into the present market trends. (DONE)
- Conduction of Mock interviews, group discussions, resume writing workshops which are greatly beneficial for management students. (DONE)
- Ensuring full utilization of our resourceful Departmental library. (DONE)
- Change is the law of nature & Managers are problem solving machines, so many more initiatives and ideas which we will be conceived by our minds in due course of time will also be included herein.
All the ideas & initiatives enlisted herein above do not require huge amount of MONEY, but do require Determination & Team Spirit to be executed. And HPUBSSA possesses the requisite amount of ingredients to fulfill whatever they have committed.
